• Integrated Cleaning Management cleans up at training awards

ICM is delighted to announce its selection as Best Company for Training and Qualifications at the FDQ Annual Awards. Moira Hughes, a highly valued employee of ICM, will also be presented with an award, The Cleaning NVQ of the Year, at the same ceremony. FDQ is an awarding body for vocational qualifications and is committed to increasing the profile of qualifications for the cleaning industry. As an awarding organisation, FDQ recognises best practice and excellence in training and development.

ICM has been awarded the 2009 Best Company for Training and Qualifications for this year in recognition of the commitment demonstrated to training and development. Over 1,000 ICM staff are enrolled on the NVQ scheme, with over 500 successfully certified to NVQ Level 2 in cleaning. Perhaps the most inspirational of these is Moira Hughes, one of the ICM Santander team in Warrington. Moira has been working with ICM for nearly three years and has been a cleaner most of her working life. Despite being in her 70s Moira is ever keen to learn and was one of the first to register for the NVQ scheme and has recently collected her NVQ Level 2 certificate.

'We are delighted to be recognised by FDQ. Ian Sinclair, who leads our training and development activity, has been working hard to ensure that our people are as committed to the NVQ process as we are: critical to the success of any NVQ programme,' commented Paul Rafferty, MD of ICM. 'Most importantly of all is the recognition of an outstanding individual, Moira Hughes. Her dedication and focus are truly an inspiration to those who work alongside her, and her commitment to the NVQ process goes to show that this is a qualification for all.'
